When a group of young kids, including Cindy Au and Eddie Ho, (our respectful
board members), stood in a small bathroom preparing cassettes tapes for
hospital visitations, they had no idea that 30 years later, they would
still be serving together in the same organization. With God's blessing,
Gospel Communication Centre had matured in the last 30 years. It is with
God-sized expectations that we look ahead to the future of this ministry
that claims such humble beginnings.
In 2002, Gospel Communication Centre (GCC) with joint force of Christian
Electronic Information Service (CEIS) entered into the multi-media industry
with a new look, Goodnews Communication International(GNCI), a brandname
which is more acceptable among Non-Christians. Working with more than
a dozen of Christian organizations and churches and over 35 Christians
as featured guests, we have completed 2 series of "Life So Good"(26
episodes) TV programs airing in Hong Kong, Canada and Honolulu and showing
at different churches and at homes throughout the world. In addition,
we have held concert, life carnival event and various evangelistic meetings
and activities at churches, schools and with different organizations.
This is the time that Hong Kong is facing economic problems and people
are losing directions and hopes. We thank our Lord to provide us OPPORTUNITIES
to bring out the GOODNEWS when there is such a great NEED for Christ.
In 2003, we will continue with these exciting projects. It is our desire
to make GNCI as a platform for mission-oriented Christian professionals
in the media industry, Christian organizations and Christians to serve
together with us as a team in the multi-media industry worldwide to give
out our message through TV media in Hong Kong, China and worldwide. We
also have new fish on the line, new hopes for the near future. (refer
to 2003 Plan for details). We will make full use of our existing resources
(in house audio-visual products) built up in the last 30 years to develop
into an internet Christian resource centre to serve Chinese Christians
and churches worldwide with the 24 hours accessibility. It is our vision
to make our website a place filled with LIFE and will encourage and invite
guests to visit and make it as their homes. In meeting the challenge of
the education system in Hong Kong, we will be in partnership with Christian
education organizations to develop from our existing TV/AV programs into
education tools and courses which can benefit thousands of students, parents
as well as Christians and non-Christians. Some of these educational materials
can be used worldwide especially in China.
Goodnews has indeed come a long way from the cassette tapes to 24 hour
Internet access. We rejoice and thank our Lord for giving us all these
visions. Your financial contributions can help to turn our VISIONS into
reality. Are you willing to be our partners in sowing the seeds of "Faith,
Hope & Love" together?
